Wagane Diouf, Managing Partner
Wagane Diouf is the Managing Partner of Mecene Investment, the Fund Manager of AfriCap Microfinance Fund. He is responsible for managing the operations and implementing the Fund’s investment strategy.
Wagane Joined Mecene Investment at its inception in late 2001 as an Investment Officer. He contributed to the design of the Fund strategy and to the building of the portfolio. He is a Board Member of Equity Bank Limited in Kenya, First Allied Savings and Loans in Ghana and Socremo in Mozambique. Wagane was promoted Managing Partner in June 2005.
Wagane joined Mecene Investment after a 14 years career in Senior Management of technology companies and Early Stage Ventures in Europe, North America and Latin America. Wagane holds a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and a Bachelors degree in Finance from Ecole Superieure de Gestion (Paris), and an Executive MBA from Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta).
